Hooves & Hearts Fundraiser

On August 23, 2025; during the Parks 2 at Wesley Clover Parks-the Hooves & Hearts BBQ fundraiser took place in the hospitality tent.

Marie-Pier (MP) was a talented horse enthusiast who was diagnosed with leukemia at age 7. During her short time at CHEO, the Child Life Services staff offered MP and her family so much support, care, and dignity, that MP’s family are eternally grateful. MP’s legacy lives on as we remember her happy spirit and her incredible love of horses.

Her story is a testament to the resilience and joy that children bring into our lives, even in the face of adversity.

This fundraising event in memory of MP raised $17,763.20 for CHEO and speaks to the ability of our equestrian family to come together for a common good and to highlight and remember the passion for horses a young person held who left our community far too soon.
